Transnistria Outreach

As a part of Hope’s Treasures, we commissioned a team of 10 individuals to visit Transnistria from April 11th to 18th for the 7th time. We continued our partnership with Help the Children to support the Chobruchi Orphanage and visit with the children along with foster families that are supported by Hope. What’s new for this year was an opportunity to teach English lessons at the orphanage and with the transitional students (using popular American songs like the Hokey Pokey) and host a Women’s tea. These types of experiences presented us with several unplanned ministry opportunities. As in year’s past, we also had the opportunity to conduct a Vacation Bible School and roll-up our sleeves with several repairs to the buildings at the orphanage.

All of our prayer requests were answered! Including:

  • Permission to spend time with children
  • Sunny weather – but no “Shadows”
  • Permission to conduct VBS
  • Two new initiatives
    • Women’s Tea
    • English lessons with Transitional Students
  • Opportunity and courage to share God’s love with those we meet
  • Safety

We are looking forward to our 8th annual trip back to Transnistria in April 2019. Please pray that we are able to return, pray for the future of the Chobruchi Orphanage, and that we can expand on our new initiatives with the Women’s Tea and English lessons.
