Reopening
Dear church family,
We are excited to begin regathering again as a church family at Hope for Sunday morning worship. It’s been a long season apart, and we can’t wait to see you!
Our Elders have put together a plan, and we have a lot of unity on this plan. We want to honor God. We want to honor our Governor and the recommendations of our health officials. We want to present ourselves to our neighbors as a community that cares not only about our own health and safety but also the health and safety of our larger community. Our witness to the surrounding neighborhood has never been more important. This really is a tangible kingdom moment.
Our church has always been a caring place where God transforms lives, and that’s why we are asking everyone to prayerfully make personal decisions with respect and grace for others. In fact, our first series this summer is on GRACE! So if you’re not comfortable coming back right away, it’s okay! Feel free to join us from home and continue to watch on the live stream for now.
For those who do choose to attend in-person worship at Hope, these are the guidelines put in place by our Elders for the “yellow phase” of Governor Wolf’s reopening plan. Compliance with these guidelines is required for the safety of others and the witness of our church:
- Entrance will be through the front doors only. All non-essential areas will be closed. Please go right inside rather than congregate in the foyer.
- Everyone is required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. No hugging, handshaking or close gathering. Please try to keep a good social distance from others.
- Seating in the auditorium will also be limited and socially distanced. Once the auditorium is full, overflow seating will be available in the Fellowship Hall.
- Parents, please keep your children by your side at all times. Kid’s Connection and the nursery will be closed during this time.
- You can give online or drop it in the offering box at the entrance of the auditorium. Offering bags will not be passed.
- When church is over, people will be dismissed by rows to exit the building.
- Fellowship is encouraged outside.
- Everything will be sanitized before and after we gather.
Lord willing, we expect to open up our gathering to the entire church family on July 12. That will give us the time we need to set up the live stream, build our team, and ultimately relaunch our live Sunday Morning Experience!
Remember, it’s a fluid situation and things are always changing. We will continue to communicate with you about what’s happening at Hope! Thank you for trusting us. We miss you, and we are excited to be back together again soon!
In Christ’s love,
The Elders
