Adoption, Foster and Orphan Care
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)
We as a church believe that the love of Christ and the clear direction of Scripture compel us to advocate and care for children who are orphaned or in foster care. At the same time, we nurture and equip believers who are called to do likewise.
The name Hope’s Treasures represents the preciousness of the children we serve. They are God’s children, precious in His sight, treasures in our eyes.
Hope Inside
First of all, we encourage our members to consider adoption, foster and orphan care, and many families in our church have adopted and fostered children (both internationally and domestically). Our ministry “inside Hope” is to stand with these families, provide financial assistance as needed, and to create a culture of care for anyone who chooses to foster or adopt a child.
Hope at Home
Christ’s Home Children’s Service in Warminster, PA is a local ministry that operates group homes for children ages 4-16, an infant and toddler program, a teen mother/baby program, and a transitional living program for teens. Simply by volunteering our time and donating to this amazing ministry, like we have done since 2007, our church is making a difference in the lives of children and house parents right here “at home.”
Hope Abroad
In 2010, Hope began a partnership with Help the Children, facilitated in the U.S. by Summit Missions, to care for orphans in the unrecognized nation of Transnistria. Since then, we have focused on building a close relationship with one orphanage in particular, the Chobruchi orphanage. These children have become extensions of our own church family through yearly trips, child sponsorships, local foster care, capital improvements to the orphanage, and funding a national worker to provide ongoing care.
