USER INFORMATION & REGULATIONS:
“The Ground Rules” For Using Your Church Building
- Submit a completed “Building Use Request” form at least two weeks prior to the event.
- Saturday events should be scheduled so as to allow proper time for cleaning and set up for Sunday activities.
- Advertisements, flyers, or the like may not be posted without prior approval. There will be no smoking within any of the church buildings.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the building or on the church grounds. Children/youth are to be supervised at all times while on the church premises.
- None of the church’s electronic equipment is to be used for any purpose without prior permission. Only Hope Community-trained operators are allowed to run the sound system; arrangements may be made with those individuals.
- Please ask before putting up or hanging any special decorations. Take care not to mar surfaces when putting up things. Use masking tape or reusable adhesive to hang things (not scotch tape). Do not use tacks without a board.
- Hope Community Church cannot be responsible for personal belongings, items, or valuables brought to the church for use at the church, and will not be liable for items lost, stolen, or damaged.
- The group who is running the event is responsible for returning all borrowed equipment on time and without damage, and for organizing setup and cleanup of all facilities.
When leaving, please make sure that:
- All personal belongings have been removed from the church building.
- All rooms used, including the bathrooms, have been left in a neat and orderly condition (pick up trash, dean the tables, sweep the floors, & vacuum the carpets).
- The kitchen (if used) is neat & clean, with food and related supplies provided by you removed from it; DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!
- All trash/garbage has been removed from the premises and taken out to the dumpster. All lights, fans, A/C, coffee makers, and electronic equipment are turned off, windows and doors are closed, and the front and side doors are locked.
- Any damages to or problems with the building, facilities, or equipment is reported to the church office in writing on the “User Check List” form. Put completed “User Check List” form in the church office or under the office door.
The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Hope Community Church of Willow Grove harmless against and from any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, and all other liabilities whatsoever, on account of or by reason of or growing out of personal injury, or property damage to the user or his party, or to any other person, persons, or entities not a party to this agreement, when such injury or damage results in whole or in part from the user’s negligence or the negligence of the user’s party.
How to Request Building Use:
- Please fill out the “Building Request Form” in as much detail as possible.
- Or fill out the “Church Equipment Request Form”
- Forms will be sent to the staff and discussed at the next closest Staff Meeting.
- Building and Room use are first come first served.
